Here's my timeline (and other things going on in my life)
April 2009 - Decided to apply for the Peace Corps. My sister and nephew came to visit, and just after I got back from the spa weekend in Utah

April-June 2009 - Worked on my papers & contacted references

June 17 2009 - Submitted my application on-line. I was on a review for work up in Lake County.
I couldn't find the picture of my friend and I at the hotel, so this is my favorite picture of something I spotted while working for the state
June 24, 2009 - Received packet to complete: finger prints, transcripts, and other forms to fill out
June 29, 2009 - Received email from the recruiter, waiting for all of my references to come in

July 7, 2009 - All references in!
July 21, 2009 - Phone interview with the Recruiter
July 27-31, 2009 - Sent additional paperwork to the Recruiter

August 4, 2009 - Nominated for service: Caribbean August 2010 (this day was also Jack's birthday, we tried to go to Kings Island but it poured & we never made it to 465)
August 15, 2009 - Received the medical packet
Jack's Six-burgh birthday
Tanner and Caroline learned how to ride bikes with no training wheels (Poppy taught them)
August - September 2009 - Many doctor appointments & dental appointments
My Little Sister (BBBSCI) and I went to paint pottery
September 10, 2009 - Sent medical packet to Washington DC - also Candace's birthday :)
Mom and I went to Chicago for Jimmy's soccer games at Northwestern- got to see Aunt Betsy & Aunt Mickey
Went to Steeler v. Bengal game - Steelers sucked :(
October, 2009 - Waiting
Make your own Pizza's on the grill party with the Oxley's - Brian's weighed 7lbs.
Boston Adventure with Anh - got to hang out with Carrie & Brian (but forgot to take pics)
Big Brother Big Sisters Halloween party with Layne Nhi
November 10, 2009 - Received Medical Clearance
Went out to Virginia & Nags Head to watch Nicolas while Katy ran a half marathon
We all met in Deep Creek Maryland for a Wetzel - ter Weele Thanksgiving
We also celebrated Andre's birthday
Nicolas did the traditional walk across the table
It snowed Thanksgiving day - Luckily our house was right on the slopes (they weren't open yet)
We went on a family hike in one of the nearby parks
December 2009 - Still Waiting...I may have received Legal Clearance (can't remember if it was dec or jan)
My dad and I took the boys snow skiing for the first time - it was so much fun (after the frustrating morning of teaching) and the boys had a blast!
I did a Bama "pub crawl" with the boys....we only went to 2 bars

January 2010 - Went back to the dentist to finish up dental work
Staff retreat at work - we had to dress like we were going on a winter hike, Valerie looked the part
The boys started basketball at the YMCA this winter

February 2010 - Had LOTS of dental work done
Cirque du Sole show Alegria with my Little
Mom took me to see Wicked for my birthday
Went to Virginia to watch Butters for the weekend while my sister and brother-in-law went away
March 4, 2010 - Sent dental paperwork to Washington DC
March 12, 2010 - Received Dental Clearance
March 30, 2010 - Call from Placement office, asked if I could leave early & go to the Pacific

April 1, 2010 - Fed-Ex package, Invitation to Fiji
April 2, 2010 - Accepted the Invitation & started on all the paperwork
