Getting my sweat on

I have been teaching aerobics for a few months and have started to have a pretty big group - at least 8 to 10 each week, sometimes more.  We began at the local gym, then moved to the squash courts, then were told we cannot use those anymore, so we finally found a spot at a kindergarten.  A few weeks ago the news paper here came to take pictures and do a story.  The final product was pretty funny - I'm quoted as saying things I would never ever say.  But I guess that's Fiji for you!

The ladies have a great time and have requested that I teach more days each week.  This is also good for me because I am becoming very lazy.  I am going to start teaching 3 days a week soon and opening 2 of the days up to men and women (its just women right now).

I am really having a great time teaching, but I can see the transformation into my mother beginning.  As far back as I can remember I would go to my mom's aerobics classes & watch her teach.  She taught at the Home for Men and one of the little old men would give Heidi and I 3 musketeers bars, and at the schools for the teachers, and a bunch of other places around town. I find myself sounding just the same as her...with a little less "Wahoo" and "Squeeze, Squeeze, Squeeze"ing. But I think my mom is pretty awesome, so I don't mind transforming into her!
